Spectrophotometers quantify color differences but do not replace agreed visual acceptance.
Color evaluation needs an identified physical standard and agreed lighting conditions. Digital images cannot reliably establish shade acceptance, and different fibers or surfaces can look different despite similar color measurements; visual review and instrumental data should be interpreted together where appropriate. Set suitable conditions and tolerances with the dyeing provider.
