Factories typically arrange moisture vapor transmission testing through a laboratory using a method appropriate to the fabric or laminate.
The test measures water-vapor passage under specified environmental and procedural conditions; it does not measure liquid wicking. Results from different methods may not be directly comparable. Specify the method, conditions, and acceptance criteria with the testing provider, and relate the result to the jacket's intended use and complete construction.
